In 2002 Rwanda committed to clear all mined areas by 1 December 2010. However, it is expected that Rwanda will declare at the Cartagena Summit that it has completed this task a year before schedule.
This film narrated by BBC war correspondent Kate Adie, and produced by the Mine Awareness Trust, shows how the Rwandan people have been able to overcome this challenge.
