The Republic of Tajikistan, with the support of the European Union hosted the Dushanbe Workshop on Progress and Challenges in Achieving a Mine-Free Central Asia from 7 to 8 July 2009. The Dushanbe Workshop was the thrid of up to five regional workshops that are organised in advance of the Second Review Conference of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and on Their Destruction.
